I didn't know England has an own army.
Not only Yugos... Czech is good when it comes to tanks, but everything else can easily be defeated by nations like France,Britain etc...
If you like CZ, go for it. But Yugoslavia isn't much better either. Just an other minor faction. I must say, the Fins are much more valuable, because they deliver serious quality.
You forget that the Czechs get the best Hind variant in the game and have many of the top tier air units that the Soviet Union gets. Not to mention that the Czechs are tied with Yugos for best REDFOR logistics land vehicle. Czechs also have some of the best specialist infantry of the game that are easily comparable to other REDFOR nations (and BLUFOR nations). Honestly I don't see how you could say Czechoslovakia is that bad of a faction. Their only achilles heel that I can think of is that they only have marginal ground-based AA platforms.
In all of your points, are other nations that are above CZ when it comes to quality and price.
i.e Soviet Union.
You are saying they have some of the best, but this is not valid, I don't feel like CZ units are much better than others, this also goes for their Hind and Specialist infantry... Maybe they are slightly better? But this is so minor, that you would not even feel it in a battle.
p.s: I have never said that CZ is a bad faction, I am just saying that it is not better than other minor factions at all, and that it is well known for it's tanks, not for it's specialist units or hinds!
If you want superior helicopters, you play the USSR.
If you want specialist infantry, you play Eastern-Germany.
If you want good tanks, you go for CZ and Poland.
If you want to spam infantry and units in general, go for NK.
I am just saying how it is... Sorry to hurt your feelings and break your dream of a powerful Czecheslovakia.
I would pick Finland and the USSR above it at any time!
All that matter is, that you can play them very well. Some people can seriously kick some ass by playing North Korea.
You didn't hurt my feelings so much were simply wrong. You say the Soviet Union has superior units in quality and price to Czechoslovakia and that's just not true. If you don't believe me look at them in the Armory yourself. Some highlights were CZ units are objectively better than soviet ones are Ground Logistics, Non-commando Recon Infantry, and SPGs. I think they have a better mortar aswell but I haven't checked that in awhile so I can't confirm that now. Also when it comes to wheeled infantry transports CZ just has a better vehicle (Ot-64) then what the Soviets employ (BTRs). Honestly this doesn't just go for CZ alot of PACT factions and now Yugoslavia aswell are quite equitable to the Soviets in terms of equipment and unit decency. In-fact in comparing all Yugo units to Soviets I found that the only categories that the Soviets have objectively better units was for the air and helicopters tab and their air rreconnaissance. Everything else was either equitable or in Yugo's favor. The only point I wish to convey in all of this is that the Soviets are not the objectively superior faction for REDFOR; not all of their units are fully or even mostly superior to other REDFOR factions so I find this distinction between minor factions and the Soviets to be false.
If anything, I'd say the USSR's advantage lies in versitility. Don't get me wrong, I love the Czechoslovak decks. But they have a few holes here and there that I have trouble filling; their long-range AA tends to be lackluster, and their air tab has a few holes in it. I also miss having AA helicopters, and the SEAD is just terrible. The USSR is good in that it can take almost every role in every game, be it the armored juggernaut, the infantry line, the artillery support or the air force. They have variety. The Czechs simply don't.
I can completely agree there.
