Unlocking Samson Late Game

I unlocked all characters by accident just playing the game normally. But I can't unlocked Samson even if wanted to now. The game got harder, there are colored tough versions of enemies in the first rooms now but you're the same starter. It's not fair. How am I supposed to not to take damage at this point in the game?

Reminder to be sure: you can unlock it on normal, no need to play on hard. On normal there are less champions generated (the "colored" enemies).

you'd unlock samson while playing lost or tainted lost anyway. Eve is the one i usually have to intentionally unlock.

Just play as The Lost

If you have AB+ and have him unlocked, use The Forgotten. He has a melee attack which deals a ton of damage and can help you unlock Samson. However in my opinion there are better characters than Samson, as Samson relies on you to get hit to gain more damage.

If you just play the game you will eventually steamroll 2 floors in a row later in the game. You dont need to do it on the first 2.
