Binding of Isaac: Repentance map

Something weird has happened to the map-view on Binding of Isaac recently. Previously, when I have pressed tab to get the bigger map, the bigger map has still stayed inside of the map-box, which is what I prefer. But now when I press tab it still shows the full map but it shows it in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red/Blue Rescue-team's style where the map bleeds into the actual game-image itself instead of staying in its own little box which is a bit disorienting/an eyesore to a person like me specifically, especially on the bigger floors

Do any of you know if this is a recent change or a bug? And if 'tis a bug, who should I report it to? This change ocurred to me when I obtained the passive item The Compass (ID: 21) and it has been like this ever since with the bigger map
