Some of my completion marks are gone in repentance+

Like the title says, my achievements dont save when I update the game. Does anyone know how to fix this.

Try uninstalling only the Repentace+ dlc. Then go into the game, see if you have the completion marks and if so, backup your save file, activate the Repentace+ dlc again and paste the old save.

everything is gone as of 1.9.7.7. no backups work, uninstalling rep+ and reverting the save, and using my rep backups all does nothing. lost any motivation to play now

I just ran into the craziest thing with this. I was having no problems at all until 2 nights ago. I completed several marks across several characters the week before up until that night, then I loaded the game up the next day and what I had was gone.

For some reason the game decided to change where save files were being loaded from and which ones it was using for repentance+. They were no longer being loaded from Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\[STEAM ID]\250900\remote

Check this folder in my documents \Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Repentance+

and look to see for these 2 files

rep+persistentgamedata1.dat
and
persistentgamedata1.dat
(or whatever your save file slot is, like persistentgamedata1.dat, persistentgamedata2.dat, or persistentgamedata3.dat)
** I replaced them all

Whichever one is more recent is the one the game was using for me. Like rep+ was always using rep+persistentgamedata1.dat but for some reason created a new file called persistentgamedata1.dat and that is what is being used even though new save backups were still being made in the save_backup folder under the rep+ prefix

So what I did to fix my progress issue was changing my most recent rep+persistentgamedata1.dat to persistentgamedata1.dat and overwriting it. All progress came back from my last play through, it even kept eden's blessing for the new run.

This is totally different than how it had been working the entire time up until 2 days ago. Now the game writes saves to persistentgamedata1.dat, persistentgamedata2.dat, or persistentgamedata3.dat

I did try uninstalling and reinstalling as well as verifying game file integrity but that didn't help.

When it did this it even wiped my online stats. But after I "fixed" it, everything is good now.

EDIT: oh and doing the stats > secrets alt+f2 thing didn't work either
