Why doesn't the debug console work in repentance plus?
So ever since repentance plus came out my debug console hasn't been working. Is anyone else having this problem?

it works, you just have to enable it. it has a different options file than regular repentance that you have to edit

I’m not sure if you can use the debug console without a mod, but let’s assume you’ve installed the mod from the Workshop called 'Enable Debug Console.' To activate the debug console, you need to edit the options.ini file. This file is usually located at: "C:\Users\USER\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Repentance+\options.ini." Open the file, look for the line EnableDebugConsole=0, change the 0 to 1, and save the file.
To use the console, check the mod’s description for the keys you need.

the debug console is part of the base game, never have needed a mod and still don't

i think in afb+ you needed at least 1 mod to use a console, and with repentance the condition became options.ini setting enabled. so there were mods like "enable debug console" that didn't do anything, but since you had a mod, it allowed you to use console

but yes, speaking of original topic, with rep+ you need to enable console in the rep+ options, not just rep
