I can't unlock Bethany! Please help

I Beat Mom's Heart with Lazarus on hard mode 2 times now without dying and Bethany simply won't unlock. I have bought the DLC btw.

Make sure it's installed first: what does the "press start" screen say?
Reminder: Repentance has no native Linux support, you have to use Proton. Also, there's no support at all on MacOS.

List of things that prevent all kind of progress:
- Seeds (except a few special ones)
- Challenges (except for their reward obviously).
- Daily Runs.
- Reruns and Victory Laps (except for a few specific unlocks).
- Any active mod from the mod menu before Mom is killed once on that save (no matter what they do, other saves are irrelevant).
- Enabling the console before Mom is killed once on that save (even if you don't use it).
- Paranoid antivirus programs (or missing rights) preventing the game from creating/editing its save file.

Yeah it's repentance. The "Press Start" page says i'm playing Rebirth, but i purchased the complete bundle in the store. I never used any seeds and i'm not sure how to enable the console, but thanks for the tips, i will learn how to do those things and try again, will update the discussion if it works

The in-game one, before choosing the save slot? Then look no further: this means you're playing Rebirth without any expansion installed (when an expansion is installed, "rebirth" is replaced with the expansion name). You can't unlock expansion-related content if said expansions are not installed. Install the expansions.

Reminder: Repentance requires both Afterbirth and Afterbirth+ installed to work, so if you want to play on Repentance you have to install all of them. Owning them isn't enough.

They are already installed. I double checked just to be sure. Must i start a new save file?

Then the starting screen shouldn't say "Rebirth" but "Repentance".
Again: I do not mean in Steam, I mean on the screen right before selecting the save slot. It also means that choosing another save slot won't change anything.

Another way to double check, to be sure: go to the stats menu, then secrets. What total number of secrets is written at the top of the screen?
178: only Rebirth is installed.
276: Afterbirth is installed.
403: Afterbirth+ is installed.
637: Repentance is installed.

Yeah that's the issue.... when i check on steam what aditional content is installed the repentance DLC is checked along with every other DLCs... But the screen says "Afterbirth+" and the number of secrets is 403.

I'm uninstalling the game completely and will try to reinstall, then i will post here if it solved the problem.
