Whatsup with the profanity filter?

Checked the text file and jesus christ there's just way too much junk in it. Did the devs seriously have nothing better to do than brainstorm unique ways to say slurs??

Idk, the game is kinda edgy, it feels weird that I cant say nipples (Cleared out the text file so hopefully that fixes it, though)

I dont as much mind the /actual/ vulgarities, im just wondering if someone at Nicalis was REALLY that triggered by someone saying nipples

I would imagine there are several companies that license out profanity filters and they take care of updating it as people come up with new ways to slur.

It appeared after playing Multiplayer Daily Run today.

The leading theory is that the list was copied from somewhere else, rather than someone at Nicalis coming up with them. That being said, since the file is exposed, I'm pretty sure you can just delete whatever you want from the list, and it'll change what words you're able to see ingame.

They better put the entire dictionary in there (meaning simply not allow people to talk). ANY WORD can be turned into a slur / insult if people start doing so.

Censoring is the worst thing in online gaming, mostly when you are chating in a different language and it censored half your sentence because it thinks you are trying to swear when using very normal words in another language.
