Unable to play issac at all!

Simple issac wont launch at all, ive tried reinstalling, changing install location, verifying game (apon which it always tries to verify stream commonworks redistributable or something like that)
deleting save data
deleting all files
I have no mods
I have no repentagon though in the past it would sometimes run with repentagon but multiplayer obviously wont work with that.
the onlything is it has worked on linux in the past.
edit: also no crash logs I checked

i'm having this same issue right now, don't know whats up and its most def gotta be from the new update.
i've tried:
-everything you've done
-multiple diff proton versions, 9 thru 5
-custom wine prefixes

nothing seems to work and us linux users might have to wait til a patch :p
question tho, what distro u using? im on endeavourOS

Okay so, funny thing is, i went into the game properties and then disable repentance plus in the dlc list, and the game launches no issues.

i re-enable repentance plus and the game won't launch at all, So if you just want too play isaac, try disabling the new dlc, if you want too play multiplayer. i guess we need too wait

ive had this problem predating the new online update i was able to kinda avoid it buy using repentagon but id like to play multiplayer with my friends and i forgot to say im no longer actively using linux im on windows

After a bit more testing i managed to get my game working, for some reason, my anti virus with repentance plus installed, was being blocked, so i re added isaac's exe too my firewall and exception list on my anti virus and it worked and i can play

for me i did a few things like deleting all files related to the game and completly whiped microsoft c++ 2015 x64 x86 even deleting a related file "msvcp140.dll" from system 32 and reinstalled them but it ran

Man this happens to me too in ab+, but since yesterday. I really don't know what to do. Barely anyone is talking about this and it's so frustrating. I tried to contact both steam and the creator and no one has answered me yet. I'll let u know if I get a response about this problem

my anti-virus reacted as well, no idea why that happened
