More items, some items from the original were also slightly changed, Rebirth can run at 60 fps and it's not made in Flash like the original. There is now 1 more boss to fight after Satan and 1 optional boss on the very last floor that you need a special key for. New bosses & enemies, 20 new challenges, 3 save slots, an option to quit the game and continue later, local coop, bigger rooms, changed attack patterns of Mom's Heart / It Lives, ??? and Isaac and new characters to play with, Judas got a light nerf (starts now with 3 DMG instead of 4), Samson got a buff and works completely different compared to the original (increase DMG by getting hit on the current floor, repeat for every floor) and Eve got a buff (Whre of Babylon triggers with 1 full heart now). That's all I can think of for now.

The Lost, which sucks. And a couple other questionable design decisions, and a buttload of different bugs.

But still pretty fun. As a whole I wouldn't say that either is better than the other, just different takes on the same idea.

Most importantly, you have a lot more items and synergies in Rebirth.

After certain downsides such as The Lost (which actually doesn't affect much of the gameplay), new OST (which is good, but not nearly as good as the original) and bugs (which are being fixed at a pretty good rate), everything else - literally, everything else - is better.

More items, more characters, more everything, better soundtrack. All in all, if you like the original you will love this one. At first I didn't quite enjoy the graphics of Rebirth but after some playing it all kind of made sense and made it very SNES like. Hope you give it a try!

I hated the original but I love this one. It could be the inclusion of more items, 60 FPS, amazing synergies and Eden + Azazel; almost everything in this game is improved apon from the original.
