Lost Contact: Good or Bad Item?

I think it's a good items, you can block enemy projectiles so if you play correctly, you can be invicible :)

Lost Contact has no downside, so of course it is good. Lost Contact gives your tears a Shield. Only applies to actual tears, no beams. If your tears collide with a projectile, they break and so does the projectile they hit.

@Diet Dr. Beta there is 1 downside, a small tears down, but overall, I'd take it...

I love lost contact.The shielded tears can protect you from a lot of incoming projectiles.Especially if you have some kind of piercing tears Lost Contact is amazing.But it can be bad if you have a slow rate of fire against enemies that shoot a lot of projectiles or shoot really quickly or both(for example Isaac or Blue Baby) since your tears will be neutralized by theirs.

I'm a bit curious about something. If you combine Lost Contact + Brimstone + Luduvico Technique, can you stay inside the ring and be invulnerable against all projectiles?

I always take it unless i have Ipecac, Ipecac lost contact is really annoying on the Isaac and ??? it touches one tear, and then it goes BOOM, which makes it harder to hit the boss, is less bad if you have high fire rate but can still blow up in your face during that fight easily
At least without ipecac your tear rate is probably high enough to not have this be a problem
(Really tried as of writing this so i probably got something wrong)

Good if you have a high fire rate, bad if you have a low fire rate.

The better you are at dodging, the worst the item is, too. To some degree you are also allowing the enemies to block your tears.

I'm not a fan. Unless your fire rate is high enough to reliably block all incoming projectiles (it usually isn't), you're still going to be dodging. And if you're dodging the enemy shots anyway, all it's really doing is destroying the shots you're firing by splatting them against enemy shots.

Good especially late game when against the bosses like the lamb and moms heart that just spam you with tears. Also if you get piercing shots with it the tears dont get destroyed by blocking other tears while still blocking tears making it op

yes

No. Brimstone lasers only sometimes blocks shots. Occasionally, enemy tears make it through, so you are not completely protected.

Also, it is only good with high fire rate. If you have low fire rate and go against a bullet hell type boss, you can potentially do zero damage because all your tears are destroyed when they block shots.

From my experience, a lot of shots make it through the laser circle. It blocks maybe 25-50% of incoming tears.
