Oh, please, the Mask of Infamy isn't even that bad of a boss, it never was. Besides, he's rare to encounter.

No, really, it's always been an easy boss, just rather slow to beat with the wrong items. And, as said, rare to encounter, in both the original and in Rebirth. So go on, buy it, enjoy it, love it, it's so much better than the original.

No. The Mask of Infamy is hard for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reasons. Every other boss in the game is hard for their own reasons, Peepi has his eyes bouncing around, Gurdy constantly spawns other enemies, The Riders have their own patterns. Mask of Infamy is hard because 75% of his body is COMPLETELY IMPERVIOUS TO DAMAGE. Not that he takes less damage, he takes NO DAMAGE. Also, there's never a health bar when you fight him. WTF?

Yes, Mask of Infamy is a pain in the D, but then again, out of almost 80 hours of playing, I've encountered him/her/it maybe 20 times all in all, and that's in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of runs. The only thing that really bothers me is the way the mask changes direction seemingly completely random, and always like so that it's facing you - it can make runs where you have subpar items last a lot longer just because of a dragged out boss fight.

He is an ass and will always BE an ass. But luckily he doesn't spawn a whole lot. Only 100% in Boss Rush... With the Bloat... Making it the hardest wave...

Probably the worst thing about Mask of Infamy is that my chances of seeing the Bosh Rush are in jeopardy during that run.

...and the Bloat is perfectly capable of killing the Mask for you during the rush with his brimstone shots.

Why do people render the Mask of Infamy and the Bloat as two of the hardest non-main bosses in the game? I've never lost against either of them. The Mask of Infamy is just a heart and a flying selfless knight, while the Bloat is just an upgraded Peep. Neither of them are difficult, just slow to beat with the wrong items.

bloat is just a pain in order to dodge. The mask of Infamy is still a pretty easy boss on both the old and new isaac. Just buy the game and have fun. I didnt believe that this game would be as good as others said, but it is. Much better than the original and I put close or over 1000 hours in it. Dont let the mask of Infamy get you down
