Azazel = Boy or Girl?

After playing though rebirth i have grow to love the opness that is Azazel, but my friends all tell me that he/she is a girl :/ I have thought he/she was a boy. So is Azazel a boy or girl :(

As has been mentioned, in the Bible, Azazel is referred to as being masculine, although demons aren't technically male or female. It's the same as how God is referred to as masculine, with the title "God the Father". God is supposed to actually be neither male nor female but is typically presented in a masculine way. So looking at it from that angle, Azazel is neither male nor female, but is masculine, if that makes sense. Although why anyone cares so much about Azazel's gender, I'm not sure.

The only character I think is a girl is Eve.

Might be correct in regards of Isaac only but as Maggy is a sure reference to Mary Magdalene she has to be seen as female. Same Reason as with Azazel being genderless.

and just saying...look up the wikipedia page for "azazel"
in every example given there, quotes straight out of the bible where azazel is mentioned, it always refers to azazel as a "he"...so i dunno why so many think azazel is a female.

aazel's hair doesn't look like girl hair, I think it looks like Nathan Explosion from Dethklok's hair, who seems to be modeled after George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher of Cannibal Corpse, but their hair is longer than Azazel's.
i suspect the design was kind of going for a heavy metal look but it's kind of tricky in pixel art.
