In order from most favorite to least i like the characters in this order
1:Eve(She got a damage buff, did anyone else notice?)
2:Samson(He got the biggest buff out of any character)
3:Judas(Can't argue with his damage)
4:Isaac(D6, enough said)
5:Maggie(I just seem to be really lucky with female characters 85% of my runs with Maggie are on par with Azazel runs)
6:Lazarus(He's like isaac, but without the D6, but until i unlocked the D6 Laz was better)
7:Eden(Random is a nice twist, but it can also royally ♥♥♥♥ you over, the fact you can only play him as many times as you've beaten the game doesn't really help him either)
8:Cain:(That... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... nerf. Cain pretty much became Isaac with less health no D6 and more luck, Thats it. He was way better in Vanilla Isaac)
9:Blue Baby:(If it weren't for Dark Bum, i'd have hated him here too)
10:Azazel(Am i the only one who doesn't like it when the game is too easy? Because thats how i feel everytime i use Azazel, he may damn well be the best character in this game, but he makes runs a Cake walk... i don't like that.)
11:The Lost(1 hit deaths... stats that are basically Isaac with no D6, again... and you have to kill yourself 4 times in different places to specific enemies with specific characters just to unlock him, The only reason i play this guy, is to get his unlocks.)

Actually, Cain is significantly stronger than isaac when it comes to damage. He has a 1.2x damage multiplier, while Isaac has a 1.0 multiplier. It makes him the 3rd strongest character, but I agree he's still very boring to play.
I agree with Azazel being a boring character. It's without a doubt the easiest character to play with. The little brimstone is already powerful enough to beat the Lamb or ???.

I'd say Azazel is the "best" character, brimstone + flying right off the bat is hard to top. Everybody likes playing as Isaac though because the D6 is awesome.

I agree azazel is boring cause his easiness but his little brimstone isn't enough to beat the lamb or ??? alone especially with the small range. His brimstone damage starts falling off at the womb unless you get damage ups.

My list of favorites

1. Azazel- Brimbstone + Flight is fun
2. Isaac- D6, 'nuff said
3. The Lost- Flight + Tears + 0 Health is challenging, but when you get a good run, it is fun
4. Judas- his Book of Belai is very useful
5. Cain- Lucky Foot I guess
6. Eve- ♥♥♥♥♥ of Babylon is useful
7. Maggie- Meh, 4 hearts, but low damage
8. Lazarus- Pretty much Isaac, but worse
9. Eden- I always get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ runs
