Best Item: Holy Mantel?

Trinity shield is one of my favorites

Trinity shield is really good, too. I got it on the "family man" challenge, and it became incredibly easy.

Godhead, Brimstone, Stopwatch, plenty of items that compete with Holy Mantle. Yeah holy mantle is good but just blocking 1 hit isn't THAT much if you suck. Godhead, Brimstone and Stopwatch can carry someone HARD, especially Brimstone if you got Tammy's head.

Epic Fetus, Brimstone, and Stop Watch are the best items in the game because they can single-handedly win a run for you, whereis Holy Mantle only protects you from one hit of damage a room.

its one of the best DEFENCIVE items, not one of the all time greatest, except when you're playing as the lost because it can save you're life multiple times
