Mom's Bottle of Pills - Limited pool?

Hey guys, so I was running through Isaac attempting to get the bandage girl achievement. I got pyromaniac and sharp plug, and D6. I ran into Mom's bottle of pills though, and decided to try it with the combo that allowed me to continuously get charge for it. I must have used it at least a hundred times, maybe more, but the pills I got never deviated from this set:

Range Up
Amnesia
Paralysis
Bad Trip (Full health at one heart)
Health Up
R U a Wizard?
Balls of Steel
Pretty Fly

No matter how many times I used the bottle of pills, I never got any other pills like speed up or health down or telepills, etc. So I was wondering if this pool of pills is random for every run, or if it's set that you can only get these certain pills from the bottle. Can anyone confirm or deny this for me?

I believe it only gives you the pill types that appeared in your run
If its the same as the last game then a certain number of random pill effects are given to one of the random pill colors

Oh, I didn't realize that the number of pill effects you can have on a given run are limited, but it makes sense, I guess. I assume if you pick up a PHD, that'll change the pill effects then.

Pills are randomly determined at the start of your run - only 6 out of 28 pill effects will only appear in that run

and yes, once you pick up PHD, what are usually bad pills will become the opposite of what they usually are
(i.e. range down becomes range up, bad trip becomes full health)
neutral pills (hematememesisesises, explosive diarrhea, i found pillz) won't be changed, though

Thanks a lot for the info, I was confused because I don't really pay attention to pill effects during runs. I didn't realize it was so limited, but it makes sense, since there's a small number of colors. I'll be sure to keep this in mind for future runs.
