Audio mods

I recently downloaded an old boi soundtrack mod to replace certain songs (Womb Ambient), (Sheol Ambient), (Sheol Fight), (and others).

But I have two questions.

1. Will this not allow me to unlock anything?

2. When I download this, will I lose the old audio tracks 5ever?

No, in the new patch if you mod your game yowas just guessing because you are replacing one thing with another.

I'm not sure about whether you can unlock stuff, but you still keep the existing audio tracks. If you ever want to uninstall the mod, you just move the music from the install folder. That'll revert the game back to the original music.
Edit: Also, if you want to just mod certain songs, just copy those songs into the mod folder. Everything else will stay the same.

I have replaced the entire new soundtrack with the original soundtrack and I have no problems and I can unlock items and get achievements.

I think it depends on how you mod the game. I have simply replaced the audio files in the rebirth folder with ones from BoI. This soundtrack replacement even works on other computers (not computer-specific).

So to answer your question, you can still unlock achievements (at least I can).

The audio should work since you're not modifying any files that determine something about the game. Just replace the music files.
