Items that have ruined otherwise amazing runs

Here is a safe space to vent your frustrations and rage over games that went completely baps-up because of a single item.

My first encounter was with Cursed Eye - basically not allowing me to beat Mom, just going in and almost immediatly getting teleported out. Funk that.

The next item that ruined a fantastic run with Magdaline - Guppy. I had no idea that it would convert my 12 hearts into utter blinding rage

Finally today I was having a great Judas run until I picked up Orbiting Tears. I just watched in horror as all my shots just circumnavigated the enemies like they were trying to avoid them.

9 Volt.

Got an absolutely epic seed for Pyromaniac abuse to finally complete Super Bandage Girl. Floor 1 Pyromaniac+Epic Fetus, Humbleing Bundle in the shop. Pick up Sharp Plug in the shop on floor 2. Slated for an easy win, I just rush for the chest for faster rerolling.

Depths 1 has Curse of the Blind but I have an excess of money so I just grab the items and think nothing of it. 9 Volt and something else, dunno.

Then I get to the Chest and I suddenly realize my fatal mistake.

Sharp Plug does not work if you are not at zero charge.

9 Volt gives you one charge immediately when you use an item.

I screwed myself out of the most annoying achievement I had left.

That was the hardest I've facepalmed in a very long time.

I finally got Bandage Girl today after a lot more resetting, but still.

Experimental treatment has ruined multiple runs for me.

I thought it was supposed to increase all your stats, but all that ever seems to happen is that my attack, tears and speed all drop to 1 and make it almost impossible to kill or dodge anything.

My Reflection is pretty damn bad - not as bad as some but it's on my "DO NOT PICKUP" list.

Don't charge 24/7. Treat it the opposite way you treat brimstone.

Just took Technology during an Azazel run. Thought it was Technology 2. So yeah, that was pretty awful.

Gotta be Soy milk, first time I picked it up I ran into four regenerating enemies. The room took 3-5 minutes to clear and I lost most of my health. (When pushback comes back to haunt you.)
Bob's brain is usable if your character gets tanky. I had placenta and vampirism in a run and it help me burst down the heart, just walk away if you're playing Judas though.

Bob's Brain with Azazel is always tricky too, as you need to get very close with the brimstone.

Only if you want to hit them with it. You can start a charge from a distance, sending the brain out ahead of you.
