Weird flashing lines issue

Occasionally when I launch Rebirth, as soon as I go fullscreen, weird black lines flash on my screen. It's not a GPU issue as it occurs in this only. I can't record it unfortunately as it stops the moment anything hooks into the game for recording.

It looks a lot like when you point a camera at an old TV.

Try toggling V-sync in the options.ini in the save directory, it sounds like you're having graphics tearing issues.

Nah, it's not tearing - it's literally black bars zooming up the screen so fast it looks like it's flashing. It's happened with VSync enabled and disabled. I'll try capturing it again with different software.

Tried recording it again with different software, but like I said it seems as soon as anything hooks in (minus steam's overlay) it stops. Very weird. Seems to be the engine.

So, it's been over a year since this topic was posted, but I've recently found a sort of fix, and I figured I'd share it with anyone who comes looking like I did.

There's probably a configuration file option that fixes this, but the way I fixed it was by installing Missing HUD 2, found at https://github.com/networkMe/missinghud2/releases . Whenever I run the game in fullscreen with Missing HUD 2, my flashing bars disappear. This is not one of the purposes of the mod, I was just using it for the stats, but it seems to do something.
