Can I say another trinket?
Broken remote

I also hate Guillotine, if I have any fly or familiar surrounding me, I can't see ♥♥♥♥ where my body is, and usually get hit.

While I have some items I rarely pick up I have found use for most things so far, mind you I just got the game like four days ago... already have 39 hours in it lol.

As for broken remote it has its uses, my latest won run which ended my night of no lifing the game on the weekend was very special. I had been going for a moms heart kill with dead baby or (???) I started off with very prety pink items it was funny but that is another thing all together, where the run took me by suprise was when I picked up broken remote, now I had the poop so I a toiletport once per room(shoot me its a pun) However I had gotten goat head and the next boss had guppies paw... Dead baby+ Broken remote+ guppies paw= Infinite teleportation at will. This is running long because i'm a chatty cathy with to much coffee in my system sorry about that lol. Oh yes I did kill moms heart, then satan as a bonus.

Cursed eye is very good with ipecac, quadshot and stuff.

My Reflection. Good lord... That item screws you out of so many synergies...

I personally think most items are very good, situationally.
-Cursed Eye - Once you get the handle on almost never getting hit, it's not so bad. Especially when you know the teleport only applies when you're charging.

-Cursed Skull - Yeah, okay, just drop it. Maybe if you have the Habit and some good healing items, you might be able to scum it, but since its a trinket, just drop it.

-Dead Cat - Most of the time, I tend to have ridiculously low red hearts if I get deal rooms. I'd gladly take Dead Cat for 1 heart if I have 1, 2, or in rare circumstances, 3 red hearts left. Especially since it'll set you at 1 heart, it's essentially 1 heart for more lives, or more lives for free. 1/3 to guppy is nice too.

-Tiny Planet - If you're stuck with normal tears, I think its alright with a good fire rate, but when you have unique effects, like brimstone, it's usually a straight upgrade.

-Bob's Brain - If you're rarely getting close to enemies, some good practice and tactics will do it.

-Dr. Fetus - Unlimited bombs. Don't even get me started with pyromaniac.

-Strange Attractor - Good range and certain synergies can often keep enemies at a decent distance away from you. The technique is an especially great synergy with this, essentially turning it into a black hole.

If you think an item will cost you your run, skip it, certainly. But if it won't cost you your run, you may be happy to learn about it a bit better.

I still hate Bob's Brain.
The main reason is because it shoots every time you don't want it to shoot.

Note if you get bad trinkets you don't want, if you hold the drop/switch button (default is Ctrl) for about 3 seconds, it will drop the trinket you are holding

I avoid it like the plague.

I avoid guillotine for a different reason.
I CAN'T F**KING AIM

Anti-Gravity Tears, number 1. It's only good with Strange Attractor which is another item to generally avoid.

Dead cat can actually be an HP increase if you have no red heart containers and are not the lost or ???. I have actually used that trick a couple of times since I make a fair number of deals with the devil.

Cursed skull is the only item I won't take.

Chocolate milk is probably one of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unlocks in the game, as well as plenty of other unlocks that fundamentally modify the mechanics of your tears, with some exceptions.
