The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

How are you supposed to predict isaac's wall of light attack?
I've been getting really annoyed trying to get the achievement, and avoiding in general. I can't find a way to predict how the isaac's wall attack work. Whenever i go to a side or a corner of the room, either it misses me or hits me.

Sit on the bottom of the screen, watch for the distinctive line pattern it draws. When that line hits a wall it stops and makes a pretty large safe zone.

Unless you're feeling lazy, in which case just sit in a bottom corner, only very occasionally will it actually hit into there.

any of the bottom corners = 99% safe

Except when they're not.

The hits are in a chessboard pattern but the mess of effects combined with the lack of a grid make it a real pain to avoid the attack. It's just a poorly designed attack.

Actually, they are always safe. Just push down+left/right in the bottom corners and you will always be safe.

The attack goes from one corner to the opposite corner - both of the other corners are the safe spots, I favour the top corner that it doesn't start in most of the time.

The side Isaac is closest to is the side the rain of light attack starts from, and if you're at the very bottom corner of the side the attack starts from, you're 100% safe. So if Isaac is more towards the left side and he disappears to do the attack, rush to the bottom left and you're fine. If you can't predict it in time and you end up in the wrong corner, simply move a few small steps forward (e.g if you're in the left corner, move a little bit to the right, if you're in the right corner, move a little bit to the left), and you'll also be fine.

If you watch the patern closely, it looks like that:
(x: light o: nothing)

oxooxooxooxoo
ooxooxooxooxo
xooxooxooxoox

When the light reach the bottom of the screen, just go next to it and you will be safe.

Just stay in the center of the room, and when Isaac flies away rush in the opposite to the wall of beams TOP corner of the room. Works every time, instead of unstable bottom of the room.

The opposite top corner of the screen always seems to work for me.

The bottom left corner usually works - though, keep an eye on the line the lights form - if it looks like the line of the lights is going to hit you, you might need to dodge it. Usually it stops right before the corner though. I don't know how to explain it any better, sorry. :D

The keyword is "usually". And The Lost doesn't really cooperate with words like "usually", "sometimes" and "maybe". I'm pretty much sure that you will actually give ♥♥♥♥ about wall of beams only while playing as The Lost. So yeah. Top opposite corner.

It seems, bottom corner has fewer beams with larger gaps (if i'm not mistaken, 3 tiles instead 1, which means, every second beam is missing). Once you see first bottom corner beam, just stand where next beam should be.

Bottom left corner, never hit me once.

Pick a side of the room, left or right, when he teleports away, if the light spawns above you, move down, if the light spawns on the opposite side, move up, that's how I've always done it, zero problems. Reduces the entire decision to a binary choice, up or down.

No, they are not. I just did Isaac and I used the bottom left when it was top right and I got hit because a beam dropped in the very corner. Yes, I was holding down-left, the beam was directly on top of me. Same side bottom corner is probably safe though, but if you're out of position it might not be possible to reach it.
