[Solved] Eden become locked again after being unlocked

I unlocked Eden, played with him and then left the game. When I returned Eden was locked again. Is this a bug?

How I can unlock him?

You don't unlock Eden like the other characters, you have to use the eden tokens you earn to play as him. So if you exit and play as another character/die as him, that will waste a token.

I don't remember getting any tokens, how do I earn them?

You get a Eden token with everytime you beat Mom's Heart.

I think they should just remove the whole token thing from Eden.. I get what they are trying to do, but it's kinda pointless. There is nothing stopping you from spamming R with all the other characters til you find a good item in the first treasure room.

But that only gives you one item and it isn't instant, the Eden tokens prevents you from spamming and getting the best stats as it can start with most items in the game. Taking the token option away would make it OP.

Pretty close to instant. A lot of times the treasure room spawns right next to you or nearby. I don't agree. Azazel starts off OP everytime. It could take a lot of respawns to roll a good Eden. I've tried Eden multiple times and gotten garbage everytime. Sometimes I've started with okay items.. but I almost always get bad stats. Anyways who cares about game balance in a single player game? There is a lot of OP stuff in this game.

More so, Eden's meant to be a character that varies. And being able to just quit when you get a variance you don't like is more so what they didn't want. It's like rolling a D100, seeing you rolled a 99, and rolling again because it wasn't a 100. Over and over and over again. Whats the point in making it random, then?

If they wanted a "get a custom start character." They'd have given you a customizable character.
