So, the 'Solar System' and 'Suicide King' challenges...anybody got any advice?

I've tried both multiple times and have failed both miserably. I can make it as far It Lives on 'Solar System' before dying hilariously, on Suicide King the furthest I could make it is Necropolis 1. Anybody have any tips for making these challenges bearable? I know Solar System would get a lot easier if I manage to pick up Guardian Angel, but that's extremely rare and I shouldn't depend on it. I do have to hand it to Edmund on Suicide King...I had a feeling he'd do the Ipecac+My Reflection nonsense together at some point. Oy.

Ring Worm hactually helps a lot for the suicide king challenge, as the winding IPECAC has a greatly increased range (can go from one side of the room to the other) and is more likely to hit moving targets. When/if it does the return trip, its not even as likely to hit you, as the spirals send it in wild directions.

You're actually 100% right. I got ring worm on this run and it worked perfectly.

Shot speed on suicide king did it for me, that and high speed.

Mom's knife made Suicide King stupidly easy for me, thanks R.N. Jesus!

For Solar System I just used the outer fly to murder everything, never found it too bad really. Couple of tries methinks

Yeah, but seriously, ring worm works beautifully on this challenge.

My winning run with suicide king was very nice. I had huge range and quite some tear upgrades and found whip worm in Womb I. Made it very easy to hit targets without them getting anywhere near me ... also my reflection didn't kick in any longer, since the shot hits the wall way earlier then it'd hit it's apex and return. Then I found a dice room on Womb II ... a 6. I just had to take it. I was left with a very slow monstro lung, probably inner eye or mutant spider. A boatload of familiars, virgo and sticky feet. Probably also dry baby, I don't quite remember. Managed to win despite being slower than Magdalene's base speed stat.

Just beat the solar system challenge... I got a few HP ups, guppy's paw and little chad, then Krampus's head from the Mom boss fight devil room. Little chad turned out to be pretty useless, and I pretty much consider krampus's head to be the only good item I got. The extra health was nice, but I'd rather have gotten a few familiars and damage ups.

I mostly used the closer red fly, because it dealt more damage and rotated faster to the position I wanted it to be in. Just keep a close eye to the enemies' movement and attacks, then keep your distance when you have to, and let the flies rotate into the position you want.

I ve beat solar sistem by entering the boss rush room getting ??? friend i cleared boss rush with him and then just used it for the rest of the run

If you want to BS it, pray for Lil Brimstone on Solar System and Mom's Knife on Suicide King (I personally got Guppy + Brimstone on SK.Completely broke it).

solar system i just collected as many coins as i could to get one of the candels won fist run with the blue one didnt take to many tries to get it. the other one i just got d4 in the first item room that was next to the start :)
