Chaos Card shoot in random direction ?

just wondering i was shooting mom from the right and the card went up...

Yeah I haven't used it that many times but I believe the same thing happened to me too. I was standing in front of a boss and the card went to the side, so it could very well be.

It shoots in the direction you are facing.
Unless you have a recording of yourself, we can't really argue if you didn't pay attention or if it was indeed a bug.

How does one unlock it?

I've screwed up throwing it and it's a terrible buzz kill. Now I make sure I'm not shooting, and move in the direction of the boss so I'm sure I'm facing that way, as if I'm actually "throwing" it. Haven't messed up since, I guess it just takes care and dexterity, which is a true reference to the original MTG card.

It shoots in the direction you last moved, not the direction you're shooting.
