Yes, it was datamined, but at the same time, the secret was almost revealed properly anyway.

Eitherway they both know a lot about BOI rebirth forget the one which sometimes look through the code.
Anyways get all 50 puzzle pieces in screenshots and photoshop them together to get the paper showing you how to unlock the lost. (Who would do that though lol)
From my understanding, those who were working on it were either working on it before the data mine or had no idea about the data mine and were still working on it. Sure, it's easy to know what to look for, but from what I have read, people were working on this and were close to a breakthrough regardless of the datamine.
