I've beaten it quite a bit.
Boss Rush isn't too difficult, if you were to compare it to Sheol or The Cathedral, but it can be pretty hard without a lot of damage (health isn't much of a big issue as long as you've got at least 4 regular hearts due to the fact that hearts will be spawning all over the place.)

I was playing as azale when it first popped, however i had enough bonuses that i had a huge controllable circle of damage and it was very very easy. I dont know how i would have completed it otherwise

Unless you're in a bad position the boss rush isn't that bad compared to what you have to fight in the future, though it is certainly alot easier on normal mode (due to all the heart drops)

Those heart drops pretty much make it always worth while if you've learned boss patterns by now.
If you haven't, I can see why it might be a threat...

True, though Monstro 2 and Gish always get me hit atleast like 4 times, they always surprise me with how tanky they are.
Though the room always tends to have really good items that makes it worth it, for me anyway like one time I had brimstone + Quad shot + 20/20 + Loki's horns. That was a good run

If you can't or barely can beat Boss Rush, you have no hope in beating the chest/dark room and their end bosses.

Sometimes it's a better idea to save a card/pill that teleports you, go to the boss rush room, take the item you want and leave.

It really all depends on your luck and what items you get.

Bingo. Though mom's knife REALLY helps ;) - think they should lower the time limit to get Boss Rush to half an hour instead of twenty mins though -_-.
