is there a way to drop "abilities"

i accept that i am really bad at this game but enjoying it. I dont try to remember what each item does and just tend to play casual, but some items tend to well, screw me up. like the charged shot one.

is there a way to drop an ability or is it a case of remembering. (my memory isnt the best at the worst of times) heh.

feel free to flame, i dont mind being bad at this, enjoying it in a casual rogue way

no you can't, there is a dice room that can reroll your items but you need luck for that

no known way to drop specific items, although it's possible to completely reroll all items you have using certain rooms/items.

Maybe you should play with an open Wiki or item list if you are not sure if you should or shouldnt pick up an item.

Just try and recognize the few items that really mess with you, I am assuming they are Monstro's Lung, Cursed Eye, Chocolate Milk, and possibly Brimstone. When I just try to relax and play, I just grab everything that drops so I can understand a few items ruining a decent run.

monstro's lung can be rly good if you know what you are doing! brimstone too, people are like "woow its so nerfed" but no, it's still incredibly strong ; (

You can drop trinkets and pills/cards (in control options default is to hold down left ctrl). But not your items, You are supposed to choose carefully as you go along. For help with choosing carefully, a lot of people use www.platinumgod.co.uk/rebirth or the gamepedia wiki is useful too.

thanks guys, confirmed what i thought :) and i dont mind the mechanic - just checking not missing an option etc. prefer not to use wiki's heh, prob why i'm a bit sucky, but like the discovery of things, even if i never "100%" ever heh :) thanks again guys/gals

Yeah Brimstone is absolutely terrible if you hate winning.

In the first game, I hated Brimstone. I plat-god'd it, but I'd never pick up Brimstone if I had the choice. With the proliferation of minor pests in this one like the wall spiders, I find it more useful, but I still will tend to not take it unless I'm already Azazel or have Ludovich Tech.
