dr.fetus is it really bad now?

i know this item got hugly nurfed damage wise.

im not sure it got little better after the patch or not apparently i does get damage bonus from damage up items.. i guess now this item scales with tear damage..

now that i know this dr.fetus doesn't seem so bad.. well compare to vanilla isaac it's pretty bad but just think as new tear effect i guess?

It sucks butt now because it scales very poorly with your damage stat. And Demo Man is a pain because of it.

Its damage is pretty poor for, you know, bombs, but you can at least bomb everything and find tons stuff.

It's really bad compared to the original version of the game. I had to beat Challenge #9 by stumbling into a dice room and reroll all my stuff for a normal gameplay LOL

it got really bad compare to original .. in original it did a reg bomb damage and it didn't garanty win epic fetus did but not dr.fetus .. it's like shooting ipecac but had little bit better escape time but it used to be fun to play with

It scales more than the original did. But it did get a nerfing.

Keep in mind it also synergizes well with other bomb types and they've added stuff like 20/20 that gives you double bombs and ♥♥♥♥.

I think it still decent, consider that it help to open secret room and sometime lock room that near secret room.

By itself it can be pretty bad at times, but like many other items, if you get lucky with certain drops it becomes really good again.

It's embarrasingly bad actually. Like someone said, epic fetus was an instant win, dr fetus was just. You know, great. But now it's just depressing. I rather pick up the old lemon mishap from BOI than picking up dr. fetus ever again in rebirth. It's ridiculous that you can't even kill those worms that shoot red tears in one shot.
I am all in for OP items, there SHOULD be a couple of them, and we do have a couple of them and they are rare but I also never considered dr. fetus as one of those items. I don't get why it has been so punished in rebirth.

It's never fun to skip an item due to it being useless. I don't like patches for a game like this to "fix balance" because it really is not that important. But I'm sad I won't ever get to use dr. fetus again, because I for one will not ever pick it up again.
