That's really awful design there. You have to charge the shot to fire. So basically you can be teleported at almost any time, making it a chore to clear out difficult rooms.
Guess I'll be putting that on my "Do Not Touch" list.
I lost a run because of that item against a boss which was faster than me...
Kept getting teleported out of the boss room to start all over again
It's actually quite a good items you actually use your brain...
Don't treat it like Brimstone and you'll be fine.

Stop with the raging/whining and actually use your brain.
No, because that's my opinion which is no less valid than yours. No other item has generated anywhere near this many threads from confused people who had their runs ruined by it. Even if you fire 1 tear you're still "charging" it for a few milliseconds.
Perhaps the word "unbalanced" may be more suitable.
Edit: I've had a successful run with Cursed Eye, but that was largely down to having Gnawed Leaf and Infamy, so it was successful in spite of Cursed Eye not because of it.
This isn't a game where stuff needs "balancing" etc. The item is perfectly balanced. It's quite hilarious the amount of whining/raging this has got along with Dr Fetus.
