Note that if you stick to pure-Rebirth, there's little point doing everything on hard. Only one character has an unlock for getting all marks on hard, the others do not. Other than that, only the Heart gives an unlock for getting it on hard. All other marks can be done on normal and you won't miss anything.
Also, there's no point killing Mega Satan as everyone. There's no mark for it on Rebirth, and the game doesn't keep track of who killed it (you only get one ending the first time you beat it).
Afterbirth adds three more marks, and an unlock for all other characters for getting them all on hard. One of the marks only exists in one difficulty but counts towards the "all hard marks".
Afterbirth+ adds one more mark, and gives a hard variant for that one mark (if done on AB, it will be now counted as done on normal). Note that both the normal and hard variants have their own unlock (beating the hard variant unlocks both the normal and hard unlocks).
Repentance adds two more mark.
Note that the "all hard marks" requirements evolve with each expansion, or or more accurately stay the same. More marks exist? "All" means "all". You'll have to do those too then!
ohh damn . thanks a hell lot . this is like the third time you've helped me in the span of 2 days . anyways uh i wanted to ask if getting any other dlcs will wipe my save . i was talking to one of my friends and they said if you get the dlcs , your previous rebirth save wont work .
is that true or like im just cooked . not like if i can afford the dlcs anyways but im just wondering
Not really. Repentance automatically imports your AB+ save the first time it's launched but has trouble detecting a Rebirth save file and there's no in-game button anymore to import it, that's most likely where what you've read comes from. Your Rebirth save will still exist, but Repentance will ignore it.
There are detailed guides on how to import Rebirth saves into Repentance, but the general idea is to first import them in Afterbirth+, then force Repentance to re-import your now existing AB+ saves and replace its empty Repentance ones (automatically created because it couldn't find any AB+ save before).
Based on how I understand it, that would be a way to avoid the issue entirely, indeed. Launch AB+ first, import the Rebirth save in it, and then buy/install Repentance and launch it for the first time.
SteamDB seems to have some info on that, I suggest you check it. Heres the link for the Complete Bundle, for example:
