So, How do i get past Satan?

I've beaten him 3 times, but I cant get anything past him, like going to another devil room and going on to continue the game, help?

after you beat mom, two photographs should appear, to get by satan onto the dark room, you must choose the negative photo and defeat satan, a giant chest will then appear and you may proceed to the dark room.

That's 100% right, the thing is you need to beat the Sheol and the Cathedral a few times to unlock each photograph. Five if i'm not mistaken.

hmm, whats happened for me was, i would kill mom, and then go to the devil room and go down the cellar, and the boss there would be satan, but after i kill him all i can do is click the big chest for the cinematic

It's either five times or six

5 times each, just kill Satan 5 times and you will unlock the Negative.

That's because you still don't have the item pickup to unlock the next floor.
Kill uncle Stan a couple more times and you'll unlock it.
Then, you can pick it up after killing Mom's Foot and go down one more time after killing Stan.
Same goes for the Cathedral, only difference is the item you pick up, one is a white photo the other is a black one.

u need to unlock negative by beating satan several times, which grants u access to dark room after picking up on depth ii.

Just kill him 3 more times, then pick up the Negative after defeating Mom.
