[BUG][v1.02][SOLUTION] Logitech Headset audio problem
EDIT 2: We seem to have found a solution that works.

I've been having this problem too since the update. I was very exited when I found this forum post on the official Logitech site:

The thing is, that windows isn't set to stereo sound, it's set to surround when you plug your headset in. This breaks sound since you most likely have your headset set to stereo. To solve this, do as follows(I'm basically quoting the guy in the forum post linked above):

'Right-click the speaker icon in the tasktray -> Playback devices -> Right-click the G35 headset -> Configure Speakers. In the resulting dialog box, click next and then set the checkboxes based on what you want the Windows audio setting to be:

For Windows to be set to stereo: uncheck "Center, Subwoofer, Side pair, and Rear pair". Click next. Check "Front left and right". Click Next -> Finish.'

This worked for me and I hope it does so for you too!

EDIT: after reading some more about this problem, it seems to be an issue with most gaming Logitech headsets..

The sound with the latest patch (v1.02) is now all coming from my right speaker of my G430 unless I turn on surround sound mode, which is not as nice sounding. This was working fine before the update. The problem has also appeared in other games such as Minecraft (no fix was found for this)

This is still happening in v1.021.. I would really like to be able to play the game again, and I am not going to install another application or run my audio in surround sound. Without a fix it is unplayable.
I'm having the same exact issue, at first I thought I was going crazy.

Im not having this issue. It usually happens when the headset needs to be unpluged and plugged in again.

that is not the problem.. its a problem with the headset being detected as surround sound, even though it isn't.

I have found a "solution". If I don't use the USB adapter for my headset, then it works fine. Though this is not a solution for me, as the USB adapter makes the microphone sound a lot better.

The adapter solution doesnt seem to work for me. Also ingame, Isaac is always spasming to the right without me doing anything, my keyboard is also logitech.

This is just an update for the v1.022 patch that came out (it isn't meant for this) but it still does not work.

Chipping in on this. Same issue. G930, SFX is only coming through the right side, though BGM is balanced. It centers if I toggle the surround switch, but audio quality drops as the game is, of course, not coded for surround.
Pridexs Nov 12, 2014 @ 1:46am
I have a G35. The music is fine but the SFX is only or mostly in my right ear. Happened after the latest patch...

Also having this issue, G930. I'd like to see a fix. :/

Same as Pridexs for me :gaper:

Having the same issue. Not using the usb card fixes the problem.

This is a known issue for logitech headsets, it is unrelated to the game. From what I have found googling around, the issue is caused by the logitech sound/gaming drivers (even the most recent) and there is no known fix.

What works for me with a G930 though: If I connect the headset before I start isaac (or any other game/sound/even youtube), everything works fine, however if I connect the headset after starting the game, right ear issues. So restarting the game after connecting my headset works.

I sometimes use an old PS2 Logitech headset and it works fine with the game.

my headset is always connected, so this doesn't work for me.
