Infamy (item) bug?
I swear it only works half the time, I keep getting damaged while facing the shots. Is there a trick to it? Do you have to be moving in the direction you're facing or something? It's pretty annoying getting damaged by a shot that the item is supposed to protect you from.

Yes, I AM facing the shot. I know how it (allegedly) works
Yes, I know it only works on projectiles, not enemies. I'm not trying to block touch damage.

true, i get hit sometimes too, even by the same direction facing tears hitting me at the same angle if i don't move, it works some times and doesn't other times, it's super weird.

Trinity Shield is somewhat more reliable and easier to use, imo.

From what I can tell, infamy blocks shots if they hit the front of your head. You need trinity shield to protect from shots to your body. I'm not 100% sure if that's how it works or not, but that's what it seems like to me at least.

Yeah, same. Sometimes it protects me, sometimes it doesn't do anything.

I've noticed this too, not entirely sure on the mechanics, but I rarely rely on it anyway. For some reason I actually find it works best when moving away from the shots as they hit, no idea why, most likely coincidence tbh.

Idk.. It seeems wrong to assume that the effect isnt "grant chance to block shots"...

Yeah, that would be a massive ♥♥♥♥ move. Only way to get a use out of it is to let yourself get hit and hope you don't take damage. Then again, that's what it does anyway.

Its a damage reduction, not damage nullification. Its a percentage to block.

In my experience, any projectile that has any inkling of a slant will hit through the mask of infamy, even if it impacts the front of my face. I have the best luck in blocking shots that are going straight towards me.

infamy is only a CHANCE to block tears from ANY direction
asl pls thx Jan 24, 2015 @ 3:07pm
Yeah, others covered it - it's not meant to block all incoming shots from the frontal position. It has a chance of blocking any projectile from any direction.

I agree it was decieving since I thought it would be like the boss/enemies but it's not.

It's not a "shield" that block all the projectiles you take in it, it's a "sometime I eventually protect you".

I'm assuming Mask of Infamy blocks from all directons equally in reality and is simply a chance to block shots (maybe 1 in 4 or so?), but it's not one I've had a chance to test yet. Tkae anything like that you find on the wiki with a huge grain of salt, as there are still many inaccuracies present.

You're right but the item is called Infamy, Mask of Infamy is the boss.
