Pills always seem bad?

44 hours in, 24 mom kills, 10 ??? kills ish on both hard/normal

Pills always seem to sway in the bad favor, even with PHD you can get spammed by crappy neutrals. I get the pills are meant to be a gamble but its making me stay away from the pill lid? or whatever its called and moms pill bottle.

Does anyone else agree?

no I don't agree. It is as you said a gamble and you need to know what can happen when going in. Of course you shouldnt start taking random pills when you only have 2 spirit hearts left in fear of one beeing a bad trip etc. Know when you can afford to even take a bad pill.

Nah, I've had at least one run with only positive pill effects even without PHD.

I've been screwed by them a few times too, so I think it's a pretty good balance.

Guess I must just be unlucky, as I haven't come accross a game where they're primarily neutral/good

yeah sadly its kind of hard to prove if something works or not when its random. Pill chance could be broke would anyone ever know?

I also disagree.
I get a good amount of good pills, and a good amount of the other pills too, generally.
Though i have gotten nothing but good pills on a run before.

10-11 of the 26 pills have positive effects, so odds are youll get a neutral or negative pill more often
