Angel Room spawning

Just wondering what are the triggers that make Angel Room appear instead of Devil Room. I know that getting Goat's Head makes one of them appear after each boss fight, but what determines which it will be?
Does taking Faith Up items such as Rosary Bead or others influence the outcome, and does going to Curse Rooms lower the probability of it appearing?

I don't know about rebirth, but in the original they wouldn't appear if you made a deal with the devil during that run.

you have to skip a devil deal room, thats how it worked in the original

No, you could get an angel room on the second floor. It was a percentage-based chance.

Skipping a devil room would raise the angel room chance on subsequent floors, and still sems like it does.

You *do* have to skip a devil room to have a chance at angel room. In original you could get angel room on second floor because of a bug where seeing a devil room in previous run but without closing the game made the game think you triggered the see-but-skip devil room requirement. But I believe that no longer works in Rebirth. And angel room was flat 50% chance to replace a devil room on the level (and then normal check to see if you'd get access to either) though with evil/sin and faith being actual stats in rebirth that might affect it now.

Oh and once you take a devil deal there are no further angel rooms in that run. Worth noting that it seems that taking black hearts and opening red chests in devil room do not count as devil deals here.

i try to get angel room 2nd floor then if u have joker cards u seem to always get them if u use it the floor after u get the angel room (easiest way to get the 2 key halfs) otherwise just skip devil rooms and picking up black hearts increases ur chances to get the devil room.

Does it? I had a pretty decent seed a while ago, and decided to test this out. From my experience, I'd agree with Malek Deneith in that picking Black Hearts -even in Devil Room- doesn't influence Angel Room appearing.
