Unlocking Eve

So no heart pickups, do spirit/ black/ eternal hearts count? Also what about HP ups?

EDIT: Since this has been necro'd not once but twice, I'll make it very clear:

I UNLOCKED EVE 10 YEARS AGO IN 2014. IT'S 2024. YALL AMAZE ME THAT YOU STILL FIND THIS POST AND BRING IT BACK EVERY FEW YEARS.

HP up items do not count I believe. However, Normal, Spirit, Eternal, and Evil hearts all count against it for certain, I want to say. I honestly unlocked her via playing, rather than attempting to specifically unlock her.

You unlock Eve the same way as the original...take two deals with the devil in one run.

Not true. Eve is unlock by completing two floors in a row without picking up any type of heart. Azazel is the character unlocked by taking deals with the devil (3 of them in one run to be precise).

I got Eve through two deals with the devil, not how you suggested. As I had soul and black heart pickups through all levels.

I'm pretty sure eves unlock was through not picking up any heart consumables for two levels.

you cannot pick any heart canisters up at all.

Just confirmed this on an alt save. Eve is unlocked by not picking up hearts for 2 floors. This can be achieved with HP ups, but if you get one that doesn't give you the hearts immediately and you pick some up you will not unlock her.
