Probably not, it doesn't seem like something McMillen would do.

There should be an unlock for going negative when trying to play The Lost, though.

I doubt it very much. I have 10 so far and I didn't recieve anything. I get the feeling I should start playing on hard but I don't want to jinx my win streak just yet.

Note that this unlock didn't exist back when this thread was made (made back on Rebirth shortly after release, long before any expansion - unlock added by AB+, second expansion).
