The difficulty settings

Hi guys,

Does anybody know which of the two difficulties, normal or hard, equate to the difficulty from vanilla Isaac? Has normal been added to make BoI easier, or has hard been added to make it harder if you know what I mean

I'd say normal after everything is terrible is closer to tboi+wrath. Provided you don't play Azazel.

Hard mode was added to make Isaac harder. Normal is more like the original, although it's debatable if it's more difficult or not. There are many much more difficult rooms, enemies, bosses, and tweaks, but there's also a lot more great items. I feel it balances itself out.

Hard mode is actually legitimately difficult.

Thanks - it's only because after 33 hours of vanilla Isaac I was absolutely terrible and barely got 3 endings, yet after 13 on this on normal mode I've already killed sheol (never even saw him in BoI) and killed mum 3 times so was curious if normal had been made easier or if I've just gotten lucky

Regular normal is easier imho than regular isaac. After a while you'll get a message telling you everything got harder. Pickups will be pretty reduced from there on in to the point of being forced to pass on rooms and whatnot.

There is also a seed to make hardmode even harder.
