Best Items for The Lost

I was wondering what would be good items for The Lost, considering how easy it is to take a hit.

Holy Mantle seems like a no-brainer. Brimstone seems like a no-brainer as well.

i somehow became invincible as the lost with the dead onion and gold touch 0_o

I think it would be cool if the lost starts with godhead if you unlock it. You'll get something to pay off all the hard work and you get to try out the item immediately. Also, it'll turn the lost into a high risk high reward type character with big damage and 0 health.
