Killed mom with the bible and something wierd happened...

I killed mom with the bible and a hole in the wall opened. When I went in there, it was giant, I fought all the bosses in the game two at a time. This included the bosses I had yet to unlock. Does anyone know what was going on there? I didn't kill all of them, I died after about 30ish bosses.

I went through something similar, though I miraculously survived. I think it's just a room to get a nice upgrade and then have a boss ladder battle, after defeating all of them you pretty much continue on your way and the hole is removed.

If you beat mom fast enough, IE before that clock at the level display screen reaches depths 2, you get the boss rush room. finish it for 2 items extra on your run and unlock an achieve with some chars apparently

Its called a "boss rush" the door to it will open if you get to mom and beat her in under 20 minutes.

I looked up "Bible kill mom" because I thought it might have something to do with the way I killed her, sorry.

Yeah it's the boss rush. You get a new item and achievement with every char you do that with. Or so I've read and I've beaten it with azazel. Just had a run with maggie. Which... awesomely enough I beat moms heart in 20:08. Lovely.
