Azazel OP?

Yes azazel is op and there is no way to say that he's up or even balanced when you've got two of the best items in the game with 3 black hearts.

He clears rooms very quickly compared to the other characters, but he is still kind of tricky to use. The main difficulty in using him comes from the confidence you get with owning everything early on. It's easy to get cocky with it. You have to use a bit of restraint.

Unless you also have Tammy's Head, of course. Then the whole game is just a roflstomp.

Azazel is invulnerable to half the hazards in this game right from the get go. Can get himself to an invulnerable position in a good deal of rooms in a matter of seconds.

To say it's OP is falling short. It's the game's "easy" mode without, y'now, hurting the pr0kids' egos.

This feels like a very poor atempt to fish for youtube clicks.

OT: Brimstone and flying, don't see anything wrong here. There are other good combos, some can oneshot whole rooms.

I guess so,in-fact il actually try a hard mode run with Azazel to see how the difficulty spikes up with him

I think the most significant downside of Azazel is the fact that there are very few items that are able to overwrite his attack. If you start a game as Azazel you will most probably keep that attack until the end. After beating Mom's Heart and Satan on hard I've stopped using him because I want to see the effects of the new tear changing items. Might go back to him after the inevitable nerf.

I mean Azazel is easy to use but that video is terrible proof. You have regular Brimstone and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of whatever it is that lowers your charge time, Azazel doesn't have either to start with...

Those combos are not guaranteed from the get go. And flying is a rare ability in the game for a reason.

Yes, he is op, but if you dont know how to use brimstone azazel is weak cuz simply you dont know how to use him.

well.... I played with eden today... started with brimstone :) ; It really depends of items generated;
I though we couldnt extend azazel range...

just beat isaac the second time with him. If you get kind of synergie he is rly op. If they remove flying form the beginning he would be fine though.
However the guy in the video had like 0 damage. When i had him with brimstone seeking tears and quadroshoot the first mom fight was a one hit kill...

Of course, I did not say that it's not easier. But if you unlock more items, the more/better combinations you can get (while many of those items are useless to Azazel). And only playing with this particular toon won't unlock you everything.
