Mongo friend eats familiars ?

wtf is this, i had sister maggy, picked this one, and maggie disappeared, then i took another baby, and she was there aswell

Just had this happen to me. Lost my freaking lil brimstone! Pretty much ♥♥♥♥♥♥ my run up.

edit: after finishing one room my lil brimstone reappeared for some reason.

I hope somebody cares because I had the brimstone buddy as well and this mongo buddy made him disappear never to be seen again. I was really late into the game and then this happened and ruined the run completely since I was carrying the knife. I will even post the video if thatt brings some attention to it.

I had three friends following me (can't remember which ones) and picked up the Mongo friend, making them disappear. Interestingly, later I picked up a fourth friend which caused Mongo to disappear and the other three previous friends to reappear.

Maybe he gets better damage for eating others or something? Because its fire rate is already way better than that of a normal familiar

I'm pretty sure Mongo absorbs the tears of any familiars you have, using them for himself. He also has twice the fire rate of the rest of them. He doesn't copy anything that isn't tears though, so no brimstone or anything like that.

im not sure .. i think it's bugged.. there was a time mongo baby absorbed 2 follower i had .. and few time when i had brother bobby only, brother bobby was still there and mongo baby was shooting same tears as him.. as well as same thing happen with sister maggy

i think.. when i had .. brother bobby and other run with sister maggy i pick up a mongo baby first and i pickedup other followers... and that happen.. so .. im not really sure.. what is a actual item effect

Were did you take this from? everywere i look it only says that hes supposed to duplicate tear effects from other babies and that this is a bug.

Had this happen to me on a BASE MENT seed run. Had at least 6 babies following me including dark bum (rip) and swarms of spiders and flies from guppy and infestation shot. Thought I'd hit some kind of limit on familiars when the other babies disappeared when I picked up mongo, at least now I know. Should definately fix it.

The mongo baby is quite the egigma.
For me at least he seemed to work right. I had the robo-baby, who was then eaten by my mongo. Mongo then was firing the lazor twice as fast as the robo-baby.

I just finished a run in which I first got said mongo baby, then picked up the harlequin one ... nothing diappeared, Mongo baby started firing twin shots in a v fashion. Though familiars in general, especially when one seems to have more than a handful, seem to randomly disappear. Tried the base ment seed as well and at some points the dark bum vanished, while I had 6 other familiars with me.

Picking up 1UP made my previously eaten infested familiar reappear. Mongo seems to be quite bugged.
