Stopping the game and then continuing with it
I feel like the games I play usually take an hour or so, so sometimes I have the need to pause the game then come back to it.
Rebirth gives me the option of continuing, but can someone clarify at what stage will the game be saved? as there are no button for 'save', if i just quit the game by pressing the x at the top right corner, is it the same as clicking exit game? and is it saved at the room that I am currently in?

Yes it's saved at the current room.

Just where you left off. I left in the middle of a large room that had not been cleared, and POOF I was back in that room. saves the seed and your progress in the floor along with all items and buffs...... its an automatic save game :D

The game also auto-saves every time you enter a floor, which is really nice for when the game freezes. At least you can continue from that same floor.

I don't seem to have the same auto save or continue options as you guys have posted. When I die, I always have to start all over at the first basement level. I lose all items and have to start all over. Am I doing something wrong?...Is my game bugged?...I dont understand the continue option at all...Please help.

you're doing nothing wrong. What continue is in this game is if you have to leave mid game you can come back and instead of restarting you can continue from where you left off, but if you die it is perma death. there is no load from last save kinda thing. once you're dead you have to restart. Continue is just so you dont have to play straight through. :D
