How to replace save files?

I'm trying to move a save file to a different computer, but just replacing persistentgamedata1.dat doesn't seem to do anything. I've also tried replacing the entire contents of my Isaac config folder with no success. And on top of that Steam Cloud seems to have synced the blank save so now the file on my original computer is blank too. I still have the original backups, is there anything I can do? (I'm on OS X 10.10)

You have to replace the save files into your local cloud save folder.

C:\Users\YourName\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Rebirth
cloud save backup (local): \Steam\userdata\XXXXXXXX\250900\remote

Try this.

Oh, just noticed you're on a Mac. Same thing, just go through your library, app support, steam, and then userdata, random number thread, 250900, remote.

I found this thread and tried it because it's bugging me too.
In my userdata, there's only three number threads and none of them have a 250900 in them.
