No mouse aim = No ability to play

Hey everybody, I hope one of the developers is reading this because it's pretty much broken my ability to play.

There's no ability to use the mouse in this game to aim, which we all already know. Now, I'm working with an Alienware Laptop here, so my keyboard is fairly small, and I have a left-handed orientation with my keys, so... Basically, in order to use the arrow keys for ths, I need to cross my hands over one another and scrunch them up.

This is a less than ideal way to play, as you've probably guessed.

I'm hearing rumors that mouse support was a feature intentionally taken away from the game. Because aparently the developers don't want any of us dirty left handed and ambiexterous people playing their game. At least not without getting arm cramps 10 minutes in.

Can I get a dev response, please? Are you bringing back mouse support?

Cause if you're not, then I want a refund. Not much point in owning a game I can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ play.

because reality, that's not how it works, a mouse is a bit than just one key....

@OP someone made a fan patch to put it in, i forget if it allowed aiming or not though, should be somewhere around these forums.

There never was actual mouse aiming in the original version of BoI, so there never has been anything "taken away". Even with the mouse, you could only shoot in the four cardinal directions.

same problem! cant play without mouse AIM and shoot. Please bring back original keyboard+mouse scheme like in original BoI!!!!!!!!!!!

True, but you could just point and hold your mouse (let's say at the center of the room) and then move around with isaac and it will always point the way where the mouse is and shoot that direction. And we were able to play with a mouse in the original one, just try it yourself if you own the game.
