What does the star symbol means (in character select) and what are the dice rooms good for?

hey guys i just beat satan with samsung and i got this strange star
http://puu.sh/cGfQP/817d1dd123.jpg here you can see it. what does it mean? i beat satan with EVERYONE but noone got that star.

also i was in a room with a huge dice on the ground showing me a 3. when i went into the room most of my items got replaced and i became the lord of flies wtf? yesterday i got the same room with a 5 on the ground and it did nothing, can someone explain pls?

I am not sure about the symbol, but the dice rooms reroll your character. So all items and pickups change. The specific number may refer to how many items were changed.

The symbols show which bosses you've beaten as that character. The star is the boss room, the heart is Mom's Heart, and the downward cross is Satan.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the star symbol is either. The one right next to it is the mark you get for beating Satan. Star is for something else. I have it on Isaac.

The star symbol shows you if you beaten the boss rush with that character.

What the poster above said. If you reach and beat mom in less thatn 20 minutes, one of the walls of the room breaks, in that room you can fight the boss rush. If you beat it, you unlock an item and get the star for that character.

ok now i get the star symbol but not the dice room. cause when i entered the nr 3 room i didnt change only 3 items it changed like 10. and in the 5 room 2 times nothing happened.

It's a reroll room, what it rerolls depends on the amount of dots on the dice on the floor. You step on the dice, it rerolls something. For instance, all your items, or all the pickups on the floor, or the floor itself.

Number 5 rerolls floor like Forget Me Now, Number 6 rerolls everything on the floor and your items. (Pedastal Items, pick ups, chests etc.) That's all i know.
