Uhhh... Since when? They are problems with the code not features.
I'm pretty sure it was announced a while ago that hearts would be capped. I dont think it's a bug.
even if it is, it may not get patched. The game is harder now and you have to deal with it.

I think you are just out of arguments.
So far you have only come up with silly arguments that prove that you are just being butthurt.
Due to a crash bug I cannot play at this time.

Also, soul hearts SHOULD be special. A red heart cap at 12 is fine. Hell, I would take a cap at 6. Who cares? Red heart drops are healing, not extra health. You left a red heart on the floor? Big deal. If you can't pick it up, you don't need it. Being forced to leave soul hearts on the floor because you're not allowed to pick them up is crap.
At least having a "reserve" would be nice. Like the first 12 hearts fill as normal, but there are 6 overflow slots that can only be filled with temporary hearts. Let's say you have 9 red hearts and 3 soul hearts. If you pick up a soul heart, you get 1 soul heart in the reserve (9 red, 3 soul, 1 reserve). If you pick up a red heart, it moves one of the soul hearts to reserve (So you get 10 red, 2 soul, and 1 reserve). If you have 12 red hearts, you can pick up up to 6 soul hearts, but no red hearts, since the reserve doesn't allow permanent hearts, so you can't heal above 12.
Hell, make them REAL heart containers if you have to. Every 4 hearts you get after the first 12 gives you 1 bonus heart that goes past the limit. Just don't make items useless because you've been good enough to either not lose temp hearts or lucky enough to get a lot of red hearts. If you find a soul heart, you should be able to use it.
The infinite HP cap was a bug in the first game.
Also having 12 hearts is more than enough. If you need more than that you either have really bad items or you aren't good enough at doding. Making the cap bigger than 12 would be pretty OP.
as in every single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ run i don't get screwed over on the first or second floor? yeah, same here.
Maybe you're just bad at the game?
I have trouble getting past the first floor in BOI so I can understand struggling with the new enemies and the buffed old ones.
I don't think it's the health cap that's the issue.

I agree that a higher cap might be better in some ways. But having more health makes it easier to survive.
