What does Hagalaz do?

unless there is some other hidden use, yes, that is all it does.

I don't know if it's known but I found out that if it is used in Devil's Room it opens a trap door to the next level:

That's a different crystal, ehwaz iirc - it says 'the passage' when picked up instead of 'destruction'.

There's also 'abundance' which doubles all consumables in the room, 'companionship' spawns 3 blue fly+3 blue spider allies, and 'vision' that shows the entire map, incl. secret/super secret rooms. There may or may not be more, but they're the only 5 I'm aware of so far.

There's also Resistance, which is a one-time Book of Shadows effect. I know that one. But do not doubt the awesomeness of Hagalaz. In a 2v2 room with lots of skulls/mushrooms/whatevers, it really gets great loot. And it makes cleaning up a Petrified Poop Card Against Humanity a breeze.
