Any tips for head trauma (Challenge 3)
Tryed it about 5 times but damage is too small even if I find DMG up items. Monsters in Depths just rip me apart. Boss fights are also terrible =/
Any ideas?

If you get lucky, you can find a dice room and completely reroll your character. Otherwise, just keep trying until you get better at it.

pray you don't get bad RNG in rooms and bosses and just grow a thick skin in the long boss fights such as mom.

Or just hope to find a bible and insta kill her. I think that's how at least one of my challenge runs ended.

I found the bible one time but they got me in Caves. It's just ridiculous.

Focus on dodging. Since you'll be doing damage either way, you might as well just focus on dodging.

But if you need to damage something, get close to it and shoot away from it. Tears affected by Tiny Planet first go behind you, and from there, revolve in front of you. If you need to attack something a bit farther from you, learn Tiny Planet's range and keep shooting away from the enemy; the range is same even if you were shooting towards the monster, but with the added bonus that if it gets close to you, you can still keep damaging it.

Remember that you can hide behind rocks and still attack. Just play it safe and hope for good loot.

I got very lucky. When run started to slip away, I got a lump of coal. After that, it was a cakewalk.

Pro tip, shoot backwards at what your aiming at if its close, because the shots com out behind you if you shoot in the other direction they get blasted by the knockback, also just relax more and stand still and control the tears in a circle and slowly move it over the enemy's, dont just spam like cray cray. also in the devil rooms common item is that black dark mater lump, if you see that insta buy it, it adds fear to your tears and its almost 100% due to the amount.

Well hope to get some damage upgrade and do your best to avoid damage. I did it on my first try somehow. Granted the bosses I got weren't the most annoying to deal with. Even with that garbage item.

Whooah!
Just completed the challenge :happymeat:

DMG UPs and HP UPs helped me as well as Bad trip and the Sun. But that was wierd ))

Didn't noticed any problems while beating this challenge. All you need is to learn target your tears at enemy.

For anyone that still needs help with this, I find the best damaging method to get close to your enemies and shoot facing the opposite direction. It will shoot in 2 short range arcs behind you which will deal a decent amount of damage.

So shoot << to kill an enemy on your right for example.

Are you sure +damage items actually work in head trauma? I got pentagram and juice, but the tears haven't gotten any bigger, the stat is still 1 bar, and they don't seem to die any faster. I'm starting to think damage on this challenge is capped at the minimum, and +damage items don't actually do anything.
