Just a warning. Unless you're somehow unbelievably skilled at the game, or already have only 1 real heart, this item will just make the run miserable and I'd argue make Mom's Heart NEAR IMPOSSIBLE.

Get yourself some bombs, go to boss, deafeat boss, get item, die, respawn in previous room, go to boss, defeat boss, get item, die... x9 It gives you a lot of items, if you manage to kill boss with 1 heart.

Mom's Heart is much harder and better designed this time around.

Also Dead Cat is not a bad item, it is just situational and you need to know how to use it. Yes, it is bad if used as a source of 1-ups against hard fights, but that's not what it's for. You can abuse it for other things.

yeah, i don't think it's outright bad, just 9 times out of 10 not a risk worth taking.

If you found a dead cat then:

step 1. use all hearts in devil deal untill 1 is left and ignore hp up items
step 2. pick up dead kat
step 3. pickup hp up items
step 4. get gud


Plus it doesn't take away your soul hearts

Dead Cat is exceptionally useful, I almost always pick it up. It reduces your real hearts down to one, which is just fantastic if you've got ♥♥♥♥♥ of Babylon, and the damage isn't too bad with Guppy's Paw. I've killed It Lives without taking damage, and I've killed Satan without taking damage, I'd have to, to get all the "~ boy" achievements.

always been like that since the original game you need to pick up guppy in a specific order to get max effect and trust me with guppy you can own the game with half a heart
