i looked up a video of it since i'm being lazy about winning still and honestly, i kinda wonder if it's meant to mess with your eyes sort of like how the scrolling messses with me (guessing other people too) in the large rooms.

surprisingly the filter effect wasn't obnoxious at all like i assumed.
